Molapo Piazza will be the place to be on November 18 when South African gospel star, Ayanda Ntanzi, makes his debut performance in Botswana during the 'Legends in Concert’s' upcoming show.

The 'Legends in Concert', which is renowned for presenting nostalgic performances, particularly those including Kwaito music, has opted for something different this time around with an exciting line-up of gospel stars.

'Legends in Concert' promoter Lekopanye ‘Lecco’ Kenosi of Leccotainment said they found it necessary to do a gospel show this time following requests from worshipers.

“For the first time, the 'Legends in Concert' will be doing a gospel show. "The show called Ayanda Ntanzi Live in Botswana, will feature the South African who will perform for the first time in Botswana on November 18. "We have been inundated with requests from the worshipers to do a gospel show and we have heeded the request.

"It has been a hard year for people as some lost jobs, some relatives; they just want to come and worship the lord,” Kenosi told Arts&Culture. Kenosi said Ayanda Ntanzi is currently the biggest gospel artist in South Africa. The South African’s music career began in 2014 after being part of Gospel Classic TV show.

A year later he signed with Koko Records and released his debut album. The album received the attention of the industry and earned the singer a nomination for Best Newcomer at the SABC Gospel Crown Awards. In 2018, Ayanda Ntanzi participated in the sold-out multi-award-winning Spirit of Praise show. He performed alongside renowned gospel music star, Benjamin Dube, in a performance that has amassed over 10 million views on YouTube.

At the upcoming show, Ayanda Ntanzi will share the stage with other artists such as Matheke Leteane, Ouna, Phempherethe, local church choirs as well as Clap ‘n Tap Groups. “Of course he will perform alongside local artists and even Clap ’n Tap groups.

I am trying something new to mix live bands and Clap ’n Tap so that everyone becomes happy. The show starts at 6pm until late,” he explained. Tickets for the show sell for P200 standard and P500 VIP.
