The moment at the Joyous Celebrations' Life Changing Concert was when local gospel singers proved to be the best and displayed the ability to penetrate the international gospel music industry.
Talented local artist, Ezra Neethings lit up the arena with his energetic performance. He started off his performance on a high note as he sang one of his mostly loved songs, O Ska Nconcluder.
He later sang Go Ka Tweng and finished off his performance with people’s favourite song, Danko. A lucky young man who possesses immense singing talent, Thabang, left the audience mesmerised with his angelic voice. The young man was part of people who took part in BotswanaPost competition and won a chance to sing alongside Joyous Celebration.
This year, the BotswanaPost partnered with Joyous Celebrations. He gave his all to the music and the way his lyrics were flowing was proof that he was born to preach through gospel music. He left the audience mesmerised and begging for more. After being impressed with Thabang’s performance, co-founder of the choir, Lindelani Mkhize appointed one of the choir singers to mentor Thabang saying the young man possesses immense talent that has to be nurtured. “Thanks to BotswanaPost for your support.
The talent you possess in Botswana will amaze you. This young man entered the BotswanaPost Gospel Icon competition. Botswana, this is your child, embrace him. All he needs is an opportunity.
The journey has started. We love to give credit where it is due. We love Botswana,” said Mkhize. “There is this person who started working with us from humble beginnings. Please let us welcome the host who does his best.
Let us appreciate one of your own. He gives the best and works hard to ensure our events succeed. Director of Brave Heart Joseph Manuel, you are one of the greatest.
On behalf of Joyous Celebration, please receive this token of appreciation for bringing us to celebrate with Batswana every year,” he said. Manuel dedicated his token of appreciation to Brave Heart team members saying his success was from their hard work and dedication to their work.
Moreover, Joyous Celebrations treated the audience with intense praise and worship performance. Unlike other years, this year the choir was too focused on worship songs and a bit of praising songs. They sang songs such as O Mohau, Ngobekezela, Ngizolibonga and many more.
