Low turnout mars car spinning

After staging a successful car spinning and drifting event a fortnight ago, which attracted multitudes, expectations were high that this one would be even a better activity.
However, the event disappointed both in terms of attendance and performances by the spinners. Compared to the previous event, it was not an adrenaline-charged spectacle for the few spinning enthusiasts that had attended the show.
This time around, the show organisers had brought car spinners and bikers. Once again, it was a battle between the local lads and their South African counterparts on the stage, threading tyres and exhibiting spine chilling car slides.
While spinners such as Oom Loeks, Villa and The General tried their best to impress, the mood was just insipid probably dampened by low attendance. Despite their efforts to ignite the mood, the show really failed to come to life.
The car spinning event is always a vibrant place, with the crowd jovial. However, that was not the case on Saturday. There were high expectations that the event would attract a big crowd based on the success of the previous show. It was such a subdued and sombre atmosphere all round, with literally nothing to write home about.
