Mapetla's family pleads for 'privacy and space'

The family of fallen Kwaito star, Thabo ‘Mapetla’ Ntirang has requested privacy and space as they mourn their son. 'Skhokho,' as Mapetla was also known, died in the early hours of Monday following a tragic car accident on Sunday evening in Phakalane.

In a statement released on Monday afternoon, Mapetla's family confirmed the untimely passing of the talented musician, explaining that he succumbed to injuries sustained from the accident.

“With heavy hearts, as the family of Thabo Mapetla Ntirang share this announcement of the untimely passing of our beloved talented musician, loving father, son, brother, and uncle. Thabo lost his life in a tragic accident in the early hours of the morning. We are currently working on funeral arrangements and further details will be shared in due course.

During this difficult time, we kindly ask for privacy and respect as we grieve the loss of our dear Thabo,” read the statement. The family further expressed that while the musician's presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on as his passion for music brought joy to countless individuals.
