The search for Miss Botswana 2025 continues, following the announcement of the Top 30 finalists over the weekend.

Speaking at the reveal of the Top 30 on Saturday, the reigning queen, Miss Botswana 2024 Anicia Gaothusi, shared a word of advice with the finalists: the importance of 'unity', as she aptly named the crown. Gaothuse urged the finalists to support one another and be their sister's keeper; the value the crown signifies.

"This journey has been a challenging one for me, so much so that I believe the same goes for everyone. As you embark on this challenge, I want you to be there for each other, stand with each other," Gaothusi said.

The Top 30 finalists for the Miss Botswana crown were selected following countrywide auditions. Amongst the candidates were notable faces from the first Miss Supranational Botswana Dabilo Moses, TikToker Stephinah Sebina and others.

At the launch of the contestants over the weekend, the reigning queen, Gaothusi, advised the finalists that the journey ahead will present many challenges and will be demanding.

Gaothusi highlighted that being there for each other will give them the extra mile in the competition because they will need all the support they can get away from family and friends.

She reminded them that, although they should be there for each other, they must bear in mind that there is only one crown and one winner.

"It's a very important journey for you. I want you to know that you are special and the journey won't be easy because we are competing for one crown," she said.

Gaothusi explained that the key to standing a chance of being Miss Botswana 2025 is to embrace one's true self.

"I urge you to be authentic, unique, resilient. It's a strength that shows you to be a queen, I'm telling you," she advised the candidates.

Reflecting on the journey, Miss Botswana Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ambrocia Samboko revealed that they successfully managed to meet their goals.

"Before we started, we told people that we would go to 24 locations and I'm pleased to say we have been to every one of those places," she happily said.

The contestants have started their boot camp at The Escapade, where they will be narrowed down to the Top 20. From there, the Top 10 will be chosen for the following year's finals.
