As the Miss Supranational Botswana beauty pageant prepares to crown the first queen, it will host a talent and fashion showcase tonight at the Game City Parkade on March 24, 2023 from 7pm-11pm.

The event will also be an occasion to announce the pageantry's Top 12 contestants.

In an interview with the pageantry spokesperson Kaone Moremong, she said the 30 contestants would be showcasing their talents which they have been rehearsing and perfecting with the help of industry creative experts like Samantha Mogwe, Tefo Paya and Lalah Molosiwa. She added that the contestants would also have a parade.

She also said there would be other models who were not contestants who would be part of the fashion show showcase. “All the Top 30 will be participating at the talent and fashion show event until end of the night. The top 12 will be announced and they will advance to the next stage of the competition, which is the Grand Finale.

The Best in talent will automatically be added to the top 12. The most voted for contestant through Short Message Service (SMS) will automatically be added to the top 12,” she added.

Moremong said the Top 11 would be selected by a panel of judges, with one space left for The Most Voted for contestant. She said the young ladies have had four weeks of preparation for the showcase. "Once the Top 12 has been selected, we will be preparing to boot camp them for preparations for the finale. Even though the contestants would be showcasing during the talent show, for the fashion show we will have older women models from the local entertainment and fashion industry including beauty queens and pageant coordinators,” she added.

The winner of Miss Supranational crown will represent the country in Poland end of July. The pageant was hosted by a company called Something Big, which was awarded the license last year by Miss Supranational International body as the first license holders of that pageant in Botswana.
