One of the up and coming popular joints, Goi’s GRILL & The Food Bar will become a haven for entertainment when it hosts Kumakwane meets Gabs Denim and White Affair on April 16.

Located just in the outskirts of Gaborone City, Goi’s GRILL & The Food Bar has been gradually transforming into a nice spot for social picnics at its backyard garden, turning into a relaxing option for fun lovers traveling along the Gabane/Thamaga road.

To continue its trend, the owners have assembled a strong line up of some of BW’s finest performing artists as well as DJs to thrill revelers next Saturday. According to the event organiser, Godfrey Mowaneng, the line up combines a host of talented seasoned performers alongside young and vibrant upcoming ones.

This includes the likes of Mr O (Owen Rampha), LaTimmy, Guyvos, Ancestral Rituals, DJ KSB, Lesho, Raul Bryan, Yung Mular, Dj Modric, DJ Kenzo, Dj Slyim, Dj Airsh, Dj Earth, Soulsista, Dj Dizzo, Basco, Dj Eddie, Dj NT and Chilly Baba.

“Mr O boasts vast experience in the industry bringing a taste of urban vibe. There is also Dj LaTimmy who is on his peak and produces astonishing performances. Ancestral Rituals and Guyvos are no pushovers as well as they are rated amongst the best performers on stage. KSB's music is now played internationally and is one of the best in the game. There are some female Djs like Earth and SoulSista who always keep revellers on their toes. This is a good line up to give revellers some fun all day long,” said Mowaneng.

Mowaneng also said revelers should expect to be treated to good performances by local artists from as early as 2pm till late. He said the event also combines the aspect of fashion and music.

“This is to say Kumakwane is urbanised with an instinct of fashion .Its a village in the outskirts of Gaborone and the fashion couture contributes a lot to its growth. We did not just say 'Kumakwane meets Gaborone' for no good reason. We have experienced city revellers impressed by the fashion sense of Kumakwane natives and this event surely will express the fashion culture in the village,” he added.

Tickets for the event sell at P70 early bird, P100 at the gate and P200 VIP.

Be careful on the road this festive season

Over the past weekend in Greater Gaborone, four people tragically lost their lives in separate accidents, a stark reminder of how vulnerable we are on the roads, especially during this busy time of year. The accidents, which claimed the lives of three pedestrians and one driver, paint a grim picture of the dangers faced by everyone on the road, not just motorists but also pedestrians. In one case, a young man was fatally struck by a truck whilst...
