Security tightened at Tlatsa Ghetto

After a young woman lost her life during the recent Gaborone International Music and Culture (GIMC) Week’s music festival due to a stampede that occurred many revelers are now cautious of the events they attend. “We have engaged three security companies from Francistown and one from Gaborone to work with us during the event. The crowd’s security is our first priority, we want everyone to be safe,” Tlatsa Lebala project manager Massie Hule told Showbiz in an interview. He noted that with a large number of security personnel it will be easier to control the crowd flow and safety during the concert. Meanwhile a mixed bag of local entertainers have been announced as part of the Francistown Tlatsa Lebala concert dubbed Tlatsa Ghetto scheduled for September 16 at Francistown Sports Complex.
The line-up comprises artists from Francistown and other musicians from different genres especially those who were not part of the first installation of Tlatsa Lebala held in Gaborone in May. “When working on this line-up we wanted to bring crowd pullers in Francistown as well as artists that are appealing to the audience that side and also give artists that did not make it to the main event a chance. We want to make more impact in the event,” said Hule.
