Simmy delivers on first appearance at Notwane

Towards the end of last week, the club announced it was bringing South African songstress, Simmy for the first time at the venue.
The Tugela-born queen did honour the invite and showed up at Notwane and delivered one of the scintillating performances of the night. Simmy was the only South African-born artist as the night club hosted mostly local artists as a way of uplifting them.
As she is known for her powerful vocal presence, Simmy did not for any moment fail to connect well with revellers from the first second of her performance until the end. She delivered performance starting with the song, Sonini, that made her break into the music scene.
She continued delivering a thrilling performance with songs from her debut album titled, ‘Tugela Fairy’. Songs like ‘Ngiyesaba’ ‘Ntaba Ezikude’ were some of the favourites among the revellers.
The 29-year old also incessantly delivered other major hits from her second album titled, ‘Tugela Fairy Made of Stars’. Songs like ‘We were here’ and ‘Emakhaya’ proved not to only to be hits in the neighbouring country but also here in Botswana as the revellers did not disappoint once again with the sing alongs during the performance.
The ever energetic Simmy closed off her performance by performing one of her latest release with Karyendasoul titled, ‘Mgani Wam’ which is now trending on all platforms. Simmy was not the only performer on the night.
DJ Bunny, as the man on the hour, also delivered an electrifying performance on the night. Bunny had taken over from DJ Latimmy who is popular for his drums and he did not disappoint as well. Other performers on the line-up were FME DJ’s, Casper the DJ, Beetee 4071 and many more local upcoming DJ’s that were given the platform to shine. In a brief talk with Showtime, DJ Bunny revealed that next they plan on bringing Something Soweto to Botswana.
