Ogomoditse Mokenti, also known as Sygosh in the entertainment industry, has released a new single titled, Kepu.

The 38-year old woman from Borotsi village in Tswapong, said her new single was the best among her other songs. She explained that it was about slay queens, the way they like money, nice cars and soft life.

"It was produced by a 16-year old South African, Popik aka DJ Pockzin SA and was mastered by Jazzman here in Botswana. It was recorded at the end of April this year. It was also composed by Tlholego Nthobatsang," she explained. So far, Sygosh, who is famously known as Mmaborotho from one of her songs, has released seven songs. She said her journey in the entertainment industry started in 2005 where she was a dancer at Muslims.

Speaking of the challenges she faces, she said they included finances, difficulty finding fellow artists to do collaborations, promoters and not getting air play on local radio stations. "I have started working with SA producers like DJ Pockzin and DJ Call Me. I see myself amongst one of the biggest artists in Botswana in future. My advice to aspiring artists is that it is never too late, work hard, do not rely on any one in this industry. Work, work and work," she said.
