Tshepiso Maruping, also known as TSS in the music industry, has dropped his second Extended Play (EP) dubbed ‘Autumn Leaves’. According to the youngster, the EP features artists such as Uber Prync 3G, Kaeymaxx and TMLee. It was produced by Flacko GranSon. TSS told Arts & Culture that the EP is available for free streaming and download on MediaFire and Audiomack. He added that his first studio solo single was released back in 2018 and followed it up with a couple of singles.
“I write and compose my own songs and Sal AngeL does the engineering. I do R&B and Pop music because I grew up living with my aunt who listened to a lot of country music, Pop and R&B. That made me fall in love with soulful sound and sweet melodies. In my music career, I dropped two EPs and seven singles. I got featured by other local artists,” he said. He explained that in 2019 he dropped a song featuring BanT, which played on Yarona FM Hip Hop chat for eight weeks. He added that he was willing to work with HanC on his next single before he could collaborate with other international artists.
TSS also dreams of collaborating with International stars such as Kiana Ledè, Blxckie and Justin Bieber because he believes their sound could easily blend. Locally, he said he wanted to work with Mpho Sebina, Samantha Mogwe and ATI. Furthermore, TSS stated that he was facing some challenges.
He said a lot of local artists go through a lot. He said their main challenge was lack of facilities and limited opportunities compared to other countries. “In the next five years I see myself as one of the best vocalists to ever come out of Botswana. I also aim to win a BET award at some point. I appreciate the love I receive from my parents for believing in my talent. I would (also) like to thank my manager for putting everything together ever since day one," he added.
