As the Miss World competition gets closer, reigning Miss Botswana queen, Lesego Chombo is said to be putting up the final touches of her preparations, which include readying her wardrobe.

The 71st Miss World is set to be held at New Delhi, India on March 2, 2024 following its postponement last year.

Miss Botswana team said in a statement released yesterday that Chombo’s preparations have ticked all the right boxes thus far, but the wardrobe is the only thing left behind. “As for our reigning queen Chombo, she is currently preparing herself for the Miss World competition which was to be held last year December but was postponed to March 2024. At the moment, Chombo is getting her wardrobe ready for the international stage,” Miss Botswana communicated.

The team will be looking to avoid a repeat of the past, following the previous queen, Palesa Molefe's wardrobe malfunction at the competition.

Meanwhile, the search for the next Miss Botswana queen is also underway after the organisation announced the Top 10 finalists this week.
