After successfully hosting the event in Kasane for the first time last year, Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) will once again host the highly televised event ‘World’s Strongest Man’ in Gaborone from May 20 to 28, 2017.

This year, Gaborone will host the two-legged events, which include the qualifying round on May 20 to 23, 2017. The 30 strongest men in the world will gather to compete for just 10 places in the final.

Current champion Brian Shaw and Žydrūnas Savickas will battle it out and the winner will equal Mariusz Pudzianowski Poland with five WSM titles.
