South African gospel artist, Yanga Sobetwa, has promised to blow away gospel music lovers tomorrow at the Hosanna Singers live recording at Molapo Piazza.

Speaking ahead of the show, the 23-year old said she will leave the audience mesmerised when she leaves the stage. Yanga rose to fame in 2018 after scooping the coveted first place in the popular Idols SA show which endevours to unearth the next musical talent. She built herself around the triumph in Idols SA and made a name for herself through her debut album titled Promised Land. Six years later, Yanga finds herself in Botswana, a country that she says met her expectations despite having been stayed for less than 24 hours. “I arrived here today, and my experience has been like two to three hours. And so far, it has really been ok, it is a little bit better from here than in SA,” Yanga said of the country she is touring for the first time. Yanga swore to leave an indelible mark at the Hosanna live recording by serenading the crowd with her angelic voice. “I will try my best to make sure that the audience is mesmerised tomorrow.

“Though I am Xhosa, there will be no language barrier as I have songs where I am even singing in Setswana, Sesotho and even my native language,” she said. Yanga will be joined on the stage by the decorated bishop Benjamin Dube, who is expected to jet into the country today. The two will record together with the Hosanna band, a group of artists consisting of a six-piece band and 15 talented vocalists. The man who brought the artists to Botswana, Nico Matlapeng, revealed to the media that the stage is set for the live recording event as they had not encountered much hiccups in preparations stage. Tickets for the live recording are sold atP500 for single VIP, P800 double VIP for the front seat. Middle seating prices are; P300 single ticket, P500 double ticket. Back seating prices are P250 for single and P400 for double. The VVIP seating goes at P1,000 single and P1,500 double.
