BDP congress boosts small-scale entrepreneurs

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Most accommodation facilities here were fully booked to capacity as hundreds of democrats descended on the town for the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) congress, which took place over the weekend.

On Tuesday, The Monitor went around the town and discovered that most of the lodges and hotels in the town were booked to capacity, as confirmed by hotel officials.

The congress brought an economic boost for small-scale entrepreneurs who took advantage of the event as they provided a variety of services to delegates and attendants.Vendors sold airtime, fat cakes, tea and chips at different points around town.
