MAUN: Indications are that expelled former Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor, Duncan Enga who recently joined Botswana Congress Party (BCP) may contest the Maun West constituency.

Enga, who is the North West District Council (NWDC) chairperson and Maun Administrative Authority deputy chairperson, Vepaune Moreti were in June expelled by the BDP for defying party caucus by contesting the council positions. The BCP president, Dumelang Saleshando and his Botswana National Front (BNF) counterpart, Duma Boko, who is also the leader of the coalition Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), will welcome the two councillors on November 4. Other speakers at the star rally will include Kenny Kapinga and Goretetse Kekgonegile. The rally will be used to launch other new members.

Kekgonegile, the BCP North West regional chairperson, confirmed that Enga and Moreti have joined the BCP. He told Mmegi that the two will be launched by Saleshando and Boko next weekend. The star rally, he said, will also be to kickstart the UDC 2019 general election campaign in the Ngamiland.
