Chief Registrar of the High Court, Juliana Dube-Gobotswang has resigned barely two years into her lucrative post.



Mmegi is in possession of an internal memo from Chief Justice (CJ),Terrence Rannowane announcing Dube-Gobotswang's resignation.

“Addressees are informed that the erstwhile Chief Registrar Ms Juliana Dube-Gobotswang has resigned from the Administration of Justice having completed served notice on the 9th August 2023,” reads the internal memo.

Sources have however told Mmegi that Dube-Gobotswang is headed for a diplomatic post in Sweden following the transfer of Ambassador Chandapiwa Ntetawho has been redeployed to Mozambique. The youthful Registrar was appointed back in 2021 with some within the judiciary speaking in hushed tones about her appointment then saying more experienced candidates were overlooked. Efforts to solicit a comment from Dube-Gobotswang were unsuccessful as she refused to entertain this publication but reffered the reporters to her employers.
