Police in Moshupa are currently investigating a case in which unknown assailants wounded a 33-year-old man at Marumo ward in Moshupa on Saturday.
Station commander David Ramoseki disclosed to MmegiOnline that they received a report that a man was found in the street battling for his life with bleeding in his abdominal area.
“In our investigations so far, we have only established that the 33-year-old was stabbed with a sharp object in his abdominal area. But we have not been able to talk with the victim as he is currently hospitalised at Princess Marina Hospital,” he said.
Additionally, Ramoseki stated that according to the family members, as they are the only people who have managed to engage with him, the 33-year-old is critical and is fighting for his life. The station commander stated that he had sent his team to the hospital to verify this.
Meanwhile, Ramoseki further revealed that no arrests have been made and they do not have anyone on their radar.
The station commander has appealed to members of the public that this is a critical time of the year and they should always be cautious of their actions.
“We, as the police are always here to protect people, but let’s work together to be safe. We also encourage the public to be on the lookout for each other as we are all humans and we should be there for each other rather than fighting,” he appealed.
