Masire deals UDC blow

Sir Ketumile Masire dealt the opposition Umbrella For Democratic Change(UDC), a huge blow on Saturday when he chose not to appear at the scheduled launch of the UDC Bonnington South candidate, Ndaba Gaolathe.

The  UDC propaganda machine had been on cruise mode leading upto the launch of Gaolathe  with radio stations and newspapers quoting UDC official Gomolemo Motswaledi confirming that Masire would definitely attend the launch and possibly speak at the event to endorse Gaolathe.

Left with egg on their faces the morning after,  Shana Letebele, a Botswana Movement For Democracy (BMD) operative issued a statement on Facebook blaming the non-appearance of Sir Ketumile on President Ian Khama, as she claimed Sir Ketumile got a call from the President not to attend.
