Tlokweng police are investigating a case in which two unknown men at the village’s Metlhabeng ward attacked, stabbed and robbed a pizza motorbike driver on Saturday night.

According to the police, the incident occurred between 10:30pm and 11pm when the delivery driver from Debonnairs Pizza in Riverwalk Mall had gone to drop off the pizza in Metlhabeng ward, Tlokweng.

Tlokweng Police Station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari said the delivery driver had reached his destination when he was attacked by two unknown men. Narrating what transpired, Rari said the victim told the police that upon arriving at his destination, two men pounced on him and the other one attacked him from behind and stabbed him with a sharp object on his rib while demanding money.

He further revealed that the victim had P50 in his possession and the assailants took it. They stabbed and flattened his motorbike’s tyres and escaped the scene with the pizza.

“Luckily, the suspect sustained minor injuries and was treated and released the same day. The unknown suspects are still at large while investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate them,” the station head added.
