PPP to appear in court for assault

FRANCISTOWN: Former deputy speaker of the National Assembly Pono Moatlhodi was last weekend questioned by Tonota police for beating up an 11-year-old boy.

Moatlhodi, affectionately known as ‘PPP’, is contesting for Tonota parliamentary seat under the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) ticket after failing to win during the 2014 general elections. 

In an interview with Mmegi online, acting station commander for Tonota police station, Superintendent Ontibele Motadiile confirmed that there is a case, which was laid against Moatlhodi on Sunday night.
