With some people unable to cope with various physical insecurities, Renewal Aesthetics by Kalafhi will be introducing the inaugural Beauty and Wellness Convention in November 2023 to inspire and empower confidence.
Renewal Aesthetics by Kalafhi offers cosmetic services, which improve a person's appearance, self-esteem and self-confidence. The convention will be held under the theme, ‘Reclaim your beauty and vitality: The art of wellness’.
In an interview, Dr Matlhogonolo Mongwa- Mouwane from Kalafhi explained that the event aims to address the prevailing challenges such as anxiety, mental health issues, depression that have become widespread and the importance of wellness holistically. She also said individuals struggle with increasing feelings of loneliness and find it difficult to relax and find solace.
Mouwane said as a result, the most basic tasks become sources of anxiety and overwhelm. She also pointed out that the convention aims to create a space where attendees can discover effective strategies to combat these issues and navigate the demands of modern life more gracefully with peace. She revealed that their cosmetic clinic addresses the mental and social well-being of a person’s health. Dr Mouwane indicated that health is a state of physical, mental and social well-being, not just the absence of diseases.
She added that they focused on encouraging healthy leaving and offer aesthetic treatment that help people boost their confidence and overall self esteem by treating the skin, body or health condition that they have.
She also said a lot of people have insecurities and trauma from the past because of how they look or feel. “You find that they carry those same insecurities even into adulthood. Batswana need to adopt more self-care practices in their current lifestyle, which will lead them to feeling happy, healthy and comfortable with themselves and do better in all other areas of their life. Enhance, restore and unmask your best self.
The importance of self care is often overlooked or neglected due to today’s demanding schedules. However, enhancing one's confidence and overall well being can be achieved through various self care practices,” she said.
Mouwane also pointed out that taking just a small amount of time for self care could lead to significant improvements in different aspects of one’s life, as feeling better and being more confident in one's own skin serves as a powerful motivator for personal growth and success. “Regrettably, a significant number of individuals perceive self care as an indulgence rather than a necessity. Consequently, they experience feelings of being overwhelmed, fatigued, and ill-prepared to confront the inevitable trials of life.
It is vital for one to recognise that self care extends beyond mere relaxation. It encompasses holistic care, addressing mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects. The Beauty and wellness Convention will be focused on physical, mental and social self care,” she said. Additionally, Mouwane said the event targets males and females between the ages of 24-65 years.
She said the mission of the Beauty and Wellness Convention is to inspire and empower every woman and man to be confident in everything that they do. She said they conducted an extensive search to gather esteemed experts in the field of wellness and the results are remarkable as they have a star-studded panel line-up comprising of renowned figures poised to cover every wellness at the upcoming convention.
