The Serowe police are currently investigating the case to verify the validity of his claims. Superintendent Poloko Oteng, the station commander of Serowe police, said the man stated he began trading with online in July 2022 and had not withdrawn any money since. He informed the police that he had been depositing money into his online account since 2022.
He added that when he encountered difficulties attempting to withdraw his funds, he became concerned that he may have been a victim of theft and reported the matter to the police. "We have since launched a probe to establish the authenticity of his claims,” Oteng explained.
