Toddler drowns in a swimming pool

Tonota Station commander, Superintendent Oteng Ngada, they are investigating a drowning incident that occurred on Saturday morning in Tonota West. He said that the two-year-old boy sneaked out of the house whilst his 38-year-old mother was preparing breakfast.
He indicated that the boy was found by the mother who jumped into the pool and retrieved the lifeless body.
Ngada stated that the boy was rushed to a private clinic where he was certified dead. Furthermore, Ngada said that the toddler's body was later conveyed to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital (NHR) mortuary awaiting post-mortem. He advised the public to always keep an eye on toddlers as they are exposed to danger.
The Tonota station commander also said that people should ensure that pools are covered with nets when not used.
