Khama invited to Democracy Forum

Former president Ian Khama will interact with prominent African leaders and other eminent persons at a public seminar to be held later this week in Gdansk, Poland.

The former president is amongst select eminent persons including other former statesmen, political activists and academics who are vocal about political and civil rights, as well as human rights abuses by repressive regimes.

Khama has been invited by the Brenthurst Foundation to participate in the public seminar that runs from June 21-23,2023.

The conference will examine methods used by authoritarian regimes “to undermine democratic practices” and discuss how “democracy, accountability and the will of the people can be strengthened and defended.”
