Obama's handshake with Castro

The world was watching when the two leaders met and shook hands. The episode lasted for a brief six seconds with beaming smiles from both Obama and Castro.

Many who witnessed it because there has never been a handshake between a Cuban leader and an American president in the last half-century met their handshake with a lot of optimism. Indeed this was historic.

We all know that the US has maintained an embargo on Cuba for the last 50 years.
