Hope beyond the crossroad: managing the transition

Like every nation, we have our history - of communal life dependent on a subsistence economy; of rulers benevolent and despotic; of colonial overseers; of political independence; of leaders keeping alive the dream of democracy; of formerly exclusionist neighbouring regimes; of a people enjoying peace; of communities sliding into the poverty trap; of a culture of intolerance; of fear of pronouncing against conventional wisdom; of a constitution meant for times long gone; of new tensions brought about by change...

And then, the National Vision for a prosperous nation enjoying a favourable place in the globe - a place known for everything that is 'good' - democratic, accountable, united, proud, knowledgeable, innovative, just, safe, ethical, etc.

Enter, the big four - democracy, development, discipline, dignity - and the fifth - delivery and the route is repaved.
