BOPEU is optimistic the  Economic rebound projected for this financial year could kick the economy back to life. In their review of the budget the Public sector Union says domestic economy outlook is positive with a growth rate of  4.3% in 2022 fiscal years respectively, “which indicates an optimistic economic condition as compared to the regional economic outlook.

The SADC economy is projected to grow by 3.2% in 2022 respectively”.

According to BOPEU the signs of recovery for Botswana are attributed to the easing of travel restrictions, resumption of tourism activities, global trade in diamonds, as well as implementation of major infrastructural projects that were delayed due to Covid-19 related measures
