UP the pace of projects delivery

BOPEU have called upon the various implementing Ministries to up the pace of projects delivery as that could go a long way in significantly reducing unemployment while adding value to the economy at the same time.

In their budget review BOPEU acknowledges the attempt by our policy-makers to identify an economic growth rate that is optimal in addressing social ills such as unemployment, income inequality and poverty. “Hence, we believe that implementing Ministries need to significantly increase the pace for project implementation to ensure that the funding that has been provided for development initiatives is used as intended and cost effectively in order to achieve national priorities and strategic objectives”.
