Botswana bowlers want to improve their overall third place finish at last year’s African States Tournament (AST) when they compete in this year’s edition, which starts on Saturday in Harare, Zimbabwe. The competition ends on September 16.

The Botswana 10-member team has five women and five men.

In the last edition of the AST that was held in Lusaka, Zambia, the women’s trips team of Obopile Ashby, Tirelo Buckley and Obakeng Gaborutwe won silver and were also ranked third overall out of five countries. Remmy Kebapetse won bronze in the men’s singles.
