BSA, umpires smoke peace pipe

Umpires made sure that their complaints were dealt with by refusing to handle some first round matches.  The two bodies met on Wednesday evening to discuss the matter and it has since been sorted out. BSA spokesperson, Kelebogile Seitei told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the leadership met on Wednesday and they were informed that the matter has been resolved.

She said last weekend, seven umpires came to the ground for games but unfortunately teams did not turn up. “Panthers (women) did not turn up for their game against Titans and Gideon Warriors did not honour their clash against Bears. We have since docked points from those teams that failed to honour their fixtures,” she said.
