The mining town will finally taste women's football

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe Regional Football Association (SPRFA) will launch their inaugural women’s football league on September 17, with the aim of encouraging women’s participation in football.

The region’s chairman, Barulaganye Moloi told Mmegi Sport that six newly formed teams will take part in the league.

The teams are affiliated to existing men’s teams in Division One and Two. Moloi further stated that though the teams will not be competing for any prize money, it will not discourage them as they have passion for football and are determined to grow in the sport.
