Funds, schedule force Zebras out of action

The Zebras will have to, once again, watch from the touchlines when the next FIFA window falls in November as the Botswana Football Association (BFA) look at other priorities due to insufficient resources.

BFA chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng said there are two main factors determining whether the Zebras play a friendly match.

“There are two main factors; the league and resources. Do we have enough resources and is this (Zebras) our focus at the moment? So we need to look at these factors first,” Kemoeng said yesterday. The Zebras were last in action on Independence Day when they edged Angola 3-0 on penalties but skipped last week’s FIFA date.
