The Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) president, Bob Lekan will not be contesting for the presidency when his term comes to an end in February 2014. Lekan has been at the helm of the rugby body since 2012.

Lekan told Mmegi Sport that he believes that time has come for him to give others a chance to take the sport to greater heights.

He said that he has served his purpose and that he is not being pushed by anything to vacate the position.
