The Zebras players will be remunerated at the normal rate when they play Angola in the Independence Day friendly match. The match will cost organisers, BOT50 P1 million, as it has emerged that the visitors will not receive any appearance fee.

Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng had initially said it would cost the organisers P1 million to bring Angola to Botswana.

But yesterday he clarified that the figure is the budget for the whole match. Zebras players are expected to be remunerated at normal rates, receiving P3,500 each as appearance fee.
