The Botswana Premier League (BPL) has confirmed Sharps Shooting Stars’ change of name to Molepolole City FC, despite a certain section of the supporters showing their discontent.

Businessman, Sommerset Gobuiwang is the director of the new club, after acquiring Sharps for P10,000 from Kobamelo and Isaac Chilisa in 2018.

Some supporters argued the club had been sold without their knowledge, and pointed that players, instead of members, appended their signature consenting to the transfer.
