FRANCISTOWN: TASC and Orapa Wanderers have qualified for the My Spar My Botswana (MSMB) National Netball championships after finishing first and second respectively in the Northern Zone. The date for the championships is yet to be decided.

Northern Zone netball spokesperson, Mercy Kololo said the second round of the league will not be played due to time constraints and first round winners TASC and Orapa Wanderers will automatically qualify for the top four national championships.

“It has been agreed that the second round will not be played because the league started late. Therefore, it means that the two teams that finished first and second in the first round have qualified for the top four,” Kololo said. The Tango Girls finished on top with eight points and 260 goals while Orapa was second with eight points and 162 goals after the final fixtures played over the weekend in Palapye.
