Under-13 girls' cricket side competes in Namibia

The Botswana team to the Under-13 Girls' Cricket Championship in Windhoek, Namibia go to action today against home sides, Northerence and Bollande.

Before leaving yesterday, the team's coach Solly Jawe told The Monitor Sport that the tourmanent is highly competitive and has attracted eight powerful sides from South Africa and Namibia.

He stated that although Botswana has just introduced the Under-13 squad, they expect the team to play better and win the championship. He said the Botswana Cricket Association hopes the tournament will help the players to improve.
