The senior national sevens rugby team that competed in the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) tournament that was held over the weekend in Zimbabwe has finished last in their group.

The team finished in the 10th place out of the 12 countries that took part in the tournament. South Africa (academy) won the tournament and Kenya ended in the second position after coming in as the defending champions.

Botswana was beaten 33-7 by Madagascar in the first game; Zambia then gave them a 19-12 drabbing in the second match followed by a 19-10 loss at the hands of Senegal.
