FORCED TO QUIT : Ramochotlhwane

Botswana Football League Chief Executive Officer, Solomon Ramochotlhwane has been removed from office with immediate effect.

In a press release, the BFL said Ramochotlhwane had resigned, but sources close to developments said the official was pushed out due to 'certain administrative issues'. “He has been under the radar for some time and they decided to relieve him off his duties and he agreed to resign with immediate effect.

The reasons for his forced exit will come out soon,” the source said. It is reported Ramochotlhwane’s exit has to do with the league’s broadcast deal, although there were no immediate details available. “An update will be issued through a press release soon, stating the way forward. The board rest assure everyone that the league will commence on the 22nd of October 2022 as previously communicated,” reads the statement from the BFL.

It is said BFL chairperson, Nicholas Zakhem and board member, Jagdish Shah spent the day at Lekidi Centre before the news of Ramochotlhwane’s resignation emerged.
