LOBATSE: Mochudi Centre Chiefs’ assistant coach, Thabo Mothibi has hinted that the club will battle the league office's decision to deduct their points. Magosi were recently charged four points by the First Division South league committee for failure to remit.

They have now fallen off the playoff spot race but Mothibi remains confident that Magosi will be back in competition if they win back their four points in the boardroom. Chiefs lost 2-0 to Extension Gunners in a league game played at Lobatse Town Council Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Magosi are now in the fifth spot and 12 points away from the playoff spot with three games to go. “The points (deduction) has not affected us at all, even last time we played well and we won. It is an administrative issue but we have talked to the chairman and he has assured us that we will get our four points back.

We do not play with the four points in our minds and today was just a bad day in the office.” “Coming in to this game, our target was to play for playoff spot with hope that we will get our deducted points back. I do not know the other results and if we still have a chance but we wanted to win this one and remain with a chance.

The leadership can say more on the points deducted and I do not want say much on it, and leave it to the relevant personnel,” Mothibi told Sport Monitor on Saturday afternoon. Chiefs survived an early threat when Thuso Keraetswe headed just inches over the bar in the opening three minutes.

Gunners were awarded a penalty on the 12th minute when Keraetswe had his shirt pulled inside the box. Mosimanegape Ntwaetsile sent the goalkeeper to the wrong side from the spot to give Gunners the lead. The Gunners’ goalkeeper had misjudged Sphiwe Matlala free kick but recovered well to parry over the bar on the 23rd minute.

Thabo Phatsima found space in the box but with the goal gaping, he shot wide off the post for Chiefs on the brink of half time’. It was an heavily contested first 15 minutes of the second half but the home side looked the better of the two teams. Gunners eventually doubled the lead on the 70th minute as Keraetswe completed a series of passes by the team with easiest of the tap in goals. The win lifts Gunners four points away from the relegation zone.

Is our screening adequate?

Sadly, we live in a society that seems to be losing its moral fibre by the day. When parents take their children to a boarding school they do so to give them a brighter future, not to have some dirty paedophilic predator to prey on them. Sex orientation is a touchy subject and for young minds to be sexualised at a young age by a grown man perpetrating harm on them by cutting through their sphincter muscle to penetrate their anal canal. Anyone can...
