Jwaneng Galaxy have won their second Premier League title after beating Holy Ghost 2-0 at the Galaxy Stadium this afternoon.
The win pushed Galaxy to 69 points five ahead of nearest pursuers, Gaborone United, but with only one game remaining. GU can only finish on 67 points, after their 1-0 win over BDF XI today was not enough to take the title fight to the last day. Galaxy's title will be more satisfying than the first which came in 2020, when the Botswana Football Association (BFA) decided to abruptly end the season due to COVID-19, and declared the Jwaneng side as the champions with 10games remaining.
At the tail end, Prisons XI joined already relegated Extension Gunners and Mogoditshane Fighters after the Warderes were beaten by Security Systems 4-0.
