Galaxy go top as GU returns to winning ways

A solitary strike by the Botswana Premier League's leading scorer, Thabang Sesinyi gave Jwaneng Galaxy all the three points against BDF XI at the Galaxy Stadium this afternoon.

The win sees Galaxy pull one point clear of Township Rollers as the Jwaneng side has amassed 41points and still have a game in hand. Sesinyi increased his tally for the season to 11, one ahead of Gaborone United's Molaodi Tlhalefang.

Tlhalefang was on target as his side dismissed bottom placed Nico United 3-0 at the VTM Arena in a game which had to be stopped a fortnight ago due to floodlights failure. The teams played out the remaining 35 minutes, and GU increased its 1-0 lead from the first part of the match, to the comprehensive 3-0 win this afternoon. GU stay third on 31 points while Nico remain rooted to the bottom with 12points.
