Nikola Kavazovic has left Sua Flamingoes after only six months following his appointment as head coach at the beginning of the year, the club has confirmed.

The Serbian tactician guided Bafana Ba Letswai to an eighth-place finish in the just-ended campaign. He replaced Rahman Gumbo in January when the team was in the bottom half of the league log.

“Following an underwhelming first-round performance in the first 15 league games of the 2022–2023 season, Mr Kavazovic was tasked with propelling the team out of the relegation zone to the Top 8.

Through his guidance, the club effectively finished in the eighth position,” part of the statement from Flamingoes reads. The Serbian has been linked with a return to Township Rollers.

Meanwhile, Morena Ramoreboli has committed his future with league champions, Jwaneng Galaxy for another year. Ramoreboli led Galaxy to their second league championship and has committed his future to the club.

The South African gaffer led Galaxy Stars to their CAF Champions League group stages reach in their first attempt. He also reached the semi-final of the Orange FA Cup once and finished as league championship runners-up once. He was said to be on the wishlist of South African giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Amazulu. Ramoreboli has been given the Bafana Bafana assignment ahead of the COSAFA Cup and will return to Galaxy at the start of the pre-season.
