Kgatleng District Council will hold a memorial service for former Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Mooketsi 'Tosh' Kgotlele who died last week Monday.
At the time of his death, Kgotlele was the Leshibitse village chief. According to official announcement from the Kgatleng tribal leadership, a memorial service for Kgotlele will be held tomorrow at the Leshibitse kgotla. "It is with great sadness to announce the passing on of Kgosi Mooketsi Tosh Kgotlele of Leshibitse village in the Kgatleng District. Kgosi Kgotelele passed on 08 May 2024," reads a statement. Kgotlele was BFA CEO between 2008 and 2010 before leaving under a cloud following match-fixing allegations that arose during the Zebras' trip to China in 2009. He was banned for life from football activities by FIFA in 2019 following proceedings instituted a year earlier.
