Motsepe offers AFCON encouragement

Visiting CAF president, Patrice Motsepe says it will be beneficial for Botswana to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Motsepe, who was in Gaborone yesterday (Monday), held meetings with the Minister of Sport, Gender, Youth and Culture, Tumiso Rakgare, as well as football officials.

Speaking during a meeting with football representatives at Lekidi Centre, Motsepe said Botswana stands to benefit from hosting CAF’s flagship competition. Botswana wants to co-host the competition with Namibia.
