Nico United has suspend coach, Philani Ncube for 14-days following the team's weekend loss to Masitaoka.

Nico were hard done by goalkeeping errors in a last-gasp 2-1 loss at the Molepolole Sports Complex, and Ncube criticised his gloveman, Gaolatlhe Tshupegetso in a post match interview.

Ncube also indicated that even if the club was to get rid of him, there would no quick fixes.

This could have rubbed the management the wrong way, and in a statement today, his suspension was announced. "Nico Management wishes to inform its members, supporters, well wishers and the public that it has taken a resolution to suspend Head Coach Mr Philani Ncube from his duties for 14days with immediate effect," the statement reads.

"In the Interim Monametsi "Sunday" Kelebale will lead the team, assisted by Mpho "AK" Akanyang while Peter "Tekere" Muchina will assume the role of Technical Advisor," the club added. Nico are having a lukewarm season on their return from the First Division and lie 11th.
