Double domestic champions, Jwaneng Galaxy could face South African giants, Orlando Pirates once again following the CAF Champions League draw yesterday.
Galaxy have been drawn against Namibian champions, African Stars in the first round with the first leg played away on dates yet to be confirmed. In the first round, there is a possibility that Galaxy will face Pirates, a team they dumped out of the competition last time around. Pirates have to win against against Madagascar outfit, Disciples FC in their first round clash if they are to set-up another tantalizing clash against Galaxy. If the two meet, it will be for the third time in the CAF competitions. The winner of second round ties makes it to the money-spinning group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Orange FA Cup runners-up, Orapa United are pitted against Seychelles side, Foresters FC in the Confederations Cup. If the Ostriches prevail, they face either Zimbabwe's Dynamos or Zambian side, Zesco United. Orapa will target to reach the group stages of the competition for the first time, which will take the tally of teams from Botswana to three that have achieved that feat in the CAF club competitions.
