Township Rollers have landed their first signing in the January transfer window after securing the signature of 33-year-old South African forward, Thabiso Mokenkoane.
Mokenkoane is seen as replacement for fellow countryman, Sphamandla Sangweni who was released by Popa Popa over the weekend. This will mark the second time the forward plays outside the South African borders as he has had stints with Royal Leopards and Mbabane Highlanders, both from Eswatini. According to SA publication Kick Off Online, the target man signed on the dotted line yesterday in Gaborone “It is true, he has signed for Township Rollers and we finalized the deal on Tuesday,” agent Sipho Shaven shared. The former AmaTuks man will join counterparts Thabo Rakhale and Tshepo ‘Skhwama’ Matete who started the season with Rollers.
