In the first semi final of the inuagural tournament played at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium the Alarm Boys defeated BDF XI 4-3 following an unspiring penalty shoot out. Both sides had played to a 1-1 draw ing regulation time.

Godfrey Tauyatswala opened the scoring for Matebele in the 35th minute before Systems found the equalizer through Poloko Nkalolang.

The Ostriches booked a place in the final after defeating Gaborone United 5-4 on penalties after the gamealso finished 1-1 during regulation time. United secured the lead in the 38th minute through Lemogang Maswena before substitute Sizwe Twala levelled the scores.
